Children and Families

Family Sports Day

Our Family Sports Day sadly had to be put off on Sun day due to the wet weather. But the good news is that we have fixed it for a new date. So put in your diaries:

Sunday 29th August, 12.15 -12.30 in Daphne’s Field

A community event for all – fun races, games,  children’s activities and picnic for all the family and all ages.

•           Come along with your family and friends.

•           Bring your own picnic and chairs or rug.

•           Remember to bring water bottles, sun-cream and hats – we hope for good weather again next weekend!

We hope to see you for this special day at the end of the summer holidays!

Pentecost Picnic Praise – Daphne’s Field, Sunday 23 May

Pentecost is the time when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles (50 days after Easter). The Apostles were filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit and they began to speak in other languages. They spread the word and teachings of Jesus. The Dove and the flames are two of the symbols of the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost Mural display in the back of the church.

The Dove mosaic and Fire hand-prints were art activities by children at the Pentecost Picnic Praise. Some hand prints were also contributed by children from Ovingdean Nursery School.
