Advent Sunday 2018 – All Age Sung Parish Eucharist

Little Advent Wreath before The Blessed Virgin Mary and Christ-child. Our children’s craft project on Advent Sunday 2018. Each child made their own wreath to be blessed and taken home for family prayers at mealtime.

Little Fishes

Little Fishes offers a gentle introduction to the Christian faith for young children (up to 8) through play, craft and learning based around a Bible story.

We meet in the Church Room, Ovingdean Road (used by Ovingdean Nursery) at 10am and end in the church for a blessing and refreshments.

If you are interested in bringing your child, grandchild or godchild please do join us – just turn up!

Little Fishes runs on Sundays during school term time,  apart from the first Sunday of each month, with a break during the holidays. Families with children are always welcome at the 10am service and there are books and drawing materials for children to use during the service.

First Sunday

10am on the first Sunday of the month –  a more child-inclusive version of the Eucharist with a lively mix of music and hymns old and more recent, and opportunities for the children to participate.  These services are suitable for all, whatever your age.

For further details about Little Fishes or First Sundays, please contact:  Judith Hewitt 01273 700758 or Diana Wooldridge 01273 390206

We also organise occasional children’s workshop sessions with craft and musical activities, usually on a Saturday morning, on occasions such as Harvest Festival, Advent or Easter. These are open to all, and are advertised locally.

Refreshments are available for children and adults after every 10 am service on Sundays. All are welcome!
