Our Church

St Wulfran’s is one of the oldest buildings in the city of Brighton and Hove, a place of great beauty and peace, and has been the spiritual home serving the community of Ovingdean for over a thousand years.

Our church is open for Services, but it is also open every day from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m for prayer and visits. It is a place of serenity, of peace and reflection with a true sense of God's omnipresence. The Blessed Sacrament is reserved in the Lady Chapel, and this area is particularly set aside for prayer and contemplation.

You will be able to see work by the Victorian artist and Ovingdean resident, Charles Eamer Kempe, including beautiful stained glass windows and the famous Kempe Ceiling.

We are an inclusive and very welcoming congregation

We have refreshments after our main 10.00 am Eucharist each Sunday, which is an opportunity to meet socially.

Our "Little Fishes" Sunday Club meets most Sundays in term time at 10.00 a.m.

You will find a warm welcome at any of our activities and invite you to look at our Facebook Page:
