Music at St Wulfrans

Music plays an important part in the services at St Wulfrans. We have a resident organist and Director of Music, as well as a very committed and enthusiastic choir. The church uses the New English Hymnal and Songs of Praise, normally in monthly rotation. The Choir meet monthly to rehearse hymns and psalms, as well as the occasional motet or anthem for special services. The choir is augmented for large festivals. As always, we are keen to have new members.

There is also a Taize group of musicians who lead an evening service. Please contact Ewart Wooldridge, one of the churchwardens.

The church itself is equipped with an electronic organ and a good keyboard which is used for rehearsals and concerts. It is an extremely good venue for small concerts. The location is very quiet, and the church lends itself well acoustically to a wide range of musical genres. For more information, please contact the Parish Priest.
