Pastoral Care and Prayer Ministry

The Pastoral Care Team act effectively as the eyes and ears of our Parish Priest who cannot obviously be everywhere at once.

At a persons request or if the need becomes apparent, we can alert him to a pastoral problem or someone in need of a visit.

We also support each other and other members of the congregation. Everything is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The Prayer Ministry Team is on hand in church after the 10am Sunday Eucharist in case anyone wants to pray with someone in confidence, offering a problem, or even a joy to God.  Members of the team can be identified wearing a red ribbon and are often found in the queue for coffee at the back of the church.  The Lady Chapel is always available as a quiet place to pray.

Communion to the Sick or Housebound is available either from the Parish Priest or a small team of licensed lay people. Contact the Vicar if you require this ministry.

Prayer group

meets in the evening of the first Sunday in the month in a members house. Newcomers are always welcome to join us for this time of quiet prayer but if you would simply like yourself, or a loved one, to be added to the prayer list then please let us know.
